FAMILIAR faces and a young prospect comprise the Philippine men’s football team for its pair of international friendlies next month at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Misagh Bahadoran, Phil and James Younghusband, Manny Ott, and Stephan Schrock lead the Azkals’ 24-man roster for their matches against Bahrain on October 7 and North Korea three days later.
National coach Thomas Dooley has also called up Mike Ott, Manny’s younger brother, who is looking for his first cap that will lock the 21-year-old Filipino-German midfielder’s participation for the seniors’ team.
The Filipino booters are coming off an impressive 2-1 win over higher-ranked Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek earlier this month behind goals from Bahadoran and Kevin Ingreso.
