STALLION Laguna and the Davao Aguilas split the points in Binan as the two struggling squads settled for a goalless draw in the Philippines Football League on Sunday.
The home team had their chances, particularly in the second half but Davao ’keeper Marko Trkulja proved to be a tough guy to beat.
Jess Melliza and Balot Doctora both had chances but the Serbian goalkeeper denied both strikers’ attempt to score the breakthrough goal.
Davao also had a huge chance when Gilmar Fernandez made a run on the right flank before being taken down by Christian Nana inside the box.
Unfortunately for the visitors, Nikola Grubjesic sent the ball high in his penalty, hitting the crossbar and blowing the only close chance for a Davao goal.
The win remained elusive for both squads as they stayed at the bottom of the standings with two points apiece after five games.
