MACAU – The feeling is mutual for Manny Pacquiao.
The Filipino boxing great returned the compliment to the Philippine Azkals as he also wished the team well in its opening game in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup this Saturday in Vietnam.
Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN Sports showed Pacquiao a video posted by Phil Younghusband on his Instagram account offering the men’s football team’s support on the reigning world welterweight champion’s title fight against Chris Algieri here also on Sunday while the rest of the Azkals shadowboxed in the background.
Pacquiao smiled upon watching the short video, before likewise expressing his support to the Azkals as they bid for a first ever title in the Suzuki Cup.
“Galingan ninyo. Good luck to your game,” said the 35-year-old Pacquiao. “Bring honor to our country. Thank you guys.”
The Azkals open their campaign Saturday when they face Laos at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi.
