KAYA FC-ILOILO conceded a late goal to settle for a 1-1 draw over Lao Toyota FC on Wednesday in the AFC Cup at the National Stadium in Vientiane, Laos.
Sayfa Aphideth scored the equalizer in the 87th minute as the Laos squad salvaged a point at the start of Group H play.
Jovin Bedic’s goal in the 18th minute opened scoring but Kaya was unable to protect its lead.
The other Group H match saw Home United FC of Singapore and PSM Makassar of Indonesia also settling for a 1-1 draw.
Kaya FC will play host to Home United FC in matchday two on March 13, but will hold the match at the Pana-ad Stadium in Bacolod City due to the absence of an AFC-standard pitch in Iloilo.
