KAYA rode a second-half scoring spree to drub Dolphins United, 7-0, on Sunday night and barge into the quarterfinals of the United Football League Cup at the Nomads Sports Club.

Known more for its stifling defense, Kaya finally flaunted the other facet of its game as the club finished the elimination round with 10 points on three wins and a draw in Group B.

Second-running Green Archers United (seven points) and Forza (four points) dispute the second quarterfinal berth in the group, with the former having the inside track.

Nate Burkey, Jonah Romero, and Antonio Ugarte all registered a brace, while Philippine team member OJ Porteria scored his first-ever goal for the squad, the runners-up in the last League play.

After Ugarte opened the offensive explosion in the 37th minute, Kaya pulled away in the second half as Romero, Porteria, and Burkey joined the scoring fray.

Earlier, Sta. Lucia blanked Agila, 3-0, to notch its first win in the tournament.
