THE brother of Rain or Shine cager Gabe Norwood is heading to Super Bowl 50.
Jordan Norwood gets a shot at the greatest prize in American football after the Denver Broncos defeated the New England Patriots, 20-18, in the AFC championship game.
The 29-year-old Jordan, a wide receiver for the Broncos who played college football at Penn State, is the younger brother of Gabe, who played college basketball at NCAA Division 1 George Mason University before taking his act to the Philippines.
Gabe was naturally ecstatic about his brother playing in the Super Bowl.
“Ayyyyyyeeeee Super Bowl bound! Let's go @JordaNorwood! Blessings on blessings on blessings! @Broncos,” wrote Gabe on his Twitter account.
Jordan was left undrafted before being picked up by the Cleveland Browns in 2009. He bounced around with the Philadephia Eagles, Cleveland Browns again, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before signing with the Broncos in 2014.
On Sunday, Jordan had two receptions for 18 yards against the dethroned Super Bowl champions Patriots. Quarterback Peyton Manning led the way for the Broncos by throwing two touchdown passes in the victory.
