FORMER Philippine football youth football team member Samuel Reuben Wilhelm Chavez is set to see action for Judson University in Elgin, Illinois.
The Judso University Eagles have won the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
Chavez was a member of the San Beda squad that won the NCAA high school championships from 2016 to 2018 and represented the province of Rizal in the Palarong Pambansa.
He went on to play for the Under-18 Philippine squad in the AFF Championships in Vietnam and the U-19 competition in Indonesia.

The attacking midfielder was also part of Mendiola FC 1991’s U-19 team that reached the 2019 Youth Football League finals.
Chavez, 18, is taking up Sports Management at Judson University, a Christian liberal arts university.
“I am still far from what I want to achieve but I will be working hard to reach my goals of completing my education and playing at the professional level. Eventually, I want to return to the Philippines to contribute to the growth of the sport,” said Chavez.
