THE Philippines dropped a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Vietnam on Friday in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup in Hohhot, Vietnam.
Goals by Trinh Nguyen Thanh Hang, Tran Thi Thu Xuan, and Le Thi Thanh Ngan allowed the world No. 11 Vietnam to overcome the Philippines for its second win in Group B.
The Philippines lost for the second time in as many matches after it was nipped by world No. 9 Iran, 1-0.
The Philippines is at last place among the four teams following the two defeats in Group B ahead of its match-up against Hong Kong on Sunday.
The Filipina5 still has a shot at advancing to the knockout stage by being the best third placers among the three groups.
