THE Philippines was blown out by Myanmar, 4-1, on Tuesday night at the start of the ASEAN Hyundai Cup at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium in Capas, Tarlac.
The Filipino booters couldn’t recover after conceding a seventh-minute goal when Kyaw Min Oo headed a corner kick in a disappointing loss at home to start the competition amidst damp conditions at New Clark City.

Than Paing scored the first of his two goals in the 28th minute as Myanmar entered halftime with a 2-0 lead.
Jarvey Gayoso gave the Philippines signs of life in the 68th, but Myanmar put the game away with two more goals with Win Naing Tun making it a 3-1 lead in the 81st.
Than scored the brace two minutes later in Myanmar’s dominating win on the road.
