FILIPINO racecar driver Enzo Pastor of TEAM TFT Carriage-Philippines is confident of a strong finish in the second leg of the Euro Racecar NASCAR Touring Series at the Circuit Dijon-Prenois in Frace.
Pastor will be looking to complete unfinished business from the first leg at the Circuit Paul Armagnac in Nogaro, also in France, where he finished just outside the podium in fourth after coming all the way from 21st place.
Interestingly, the Filipino’s lap time was a full second faster than the winner’s and Pastor’s father, Philippine Formula Autsports Foundation, Inc. president Tom, said, “If he had another lap or two in that race, Enzo would have overtaken them all.”
This time, Pastor will be going up against 22 other drivers from Europe and the United States in the series sanctioned by both NASCAR and FIA and using homologated cars, meaning all the cars have the same specs beginning with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine.
Pastor is one of the few Filipinos to taste success in the prestigious Macau Grand Prix wherein he finished in the podium in third place during its 56th staging. He was also the inaugural series champion of the Formula Renault Series in 2002.
