BJORN Kristensen scored all the goals as the Philippines stayed unbeaten in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers third round on Thursday, routing Timor Leste, 4-1, at the Territory Rugby League Stadium in Darwin, Australia.
Kristensen knocked in the goals in the 15th, 31st, 49th, and 56th, bringing his goal total in the third round of the qualifiers to seven.
PH stays unbeaten
Paolo Freitas had a goal in the 47th as Timor Leste avoided getting shut out in the match-up, but Kristensen was just too much for the designated home squad that played on a neutral site.
The Filipino booters secured their second win in three matches to go up to seven points in Group A, the result of the other contest being a draw. The Philippines has the provisionary lead pending the result of the match-up between Tajikistan and Maldives.
Tajikistan is in second place with four points on a win and a draw ahead of the match-up against Maldives.
The winner of the group will clinch a spot in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia.
The Philippines will face Timor Leste again on Tuesday at the New Clark City Stadium in Capas, Tarlac for the return tie.
