THE Philippine women’s national football team will play an intersquad exhibition match on February 25 at the Mall of Asia Football Field, part of the Filipinas’ nine-day training camp to be held in Manila.

The Filipinas begin a busy 2025 with the training camp at home as part of the preparation for three major tournaments in the year.

The camp will end with the exhibition match involving Filipinas players to be held at the newly-completed MOA Football Field, a rare opportunity for the Filipino fans to watch the team at home.

The Filipinas are scheduled to compete in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers, ASEAN Women’s Championships, and the Southeast Asian Games this year.

“I’m really looking forward to having the Filipinas back in action at home, where the supporters in Manila can get a chance to experience the team up close, in one of the city’s new and exciting football venues,” said PWNT head coach Mark Torcaso.

The MOA Football Field has recently been completed and is located at the SM Mall of Asia roofdeck. In a 2016 press release, the pitch conforms with FIFA standards and was designed by Miami-based firm Arquitectonica.

The football field, that also includes a botanical garden, is being described as Mall of Asia’s new ‘wow factor.’

“The Filipinas haven't spent much time at home since their historic World Cup run, so it’s a really good opportunity for all the fans to connect with the team, and for our players to savor the experience of playing in front of their supporters. I can't think of a better way to introduce the new Mall of Asia Football Field to the Philippine public,” PFF director of senior national teams Freddy Gonzalez.

“Nine days of solid work at home, familiarizing with one another and with Coach Mark's game model will be a great way to start a big 2025 for the Filipinas,” Gonzalez added.
