THE Filipina5 looks for a fine fifinish to the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025, as it takes on Argentina on Thursday night at the Philsports Arena.
Kick-off is at 8:30 p.m.
The Philippines was ousted from contention after it was sent to its second loss in Group A by Morocco, 3-2, despite scoring the first two goals of the contest.

The host country, No. 63 in the world, will end the group stage with a tough foe in Argentina, one of the title contenders as the sixth-ranked squad.
“We will just try to do better, try to show our model and our ideals,” said Filipina5 coach Rafa Merino in Spanish. “We don’t have to do extraordinary things. Just be ourselves and try to be better.”

Inday Tolentin scored the Filipinos' first-ever goal in FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup history, which was followed by a goal by Catherine Graversen.
“It’s the World Cup. It’s a dream come true,” said Graversen about her make. “Playing at home, it makes it more exciting and crazy. The atmosphere was just wild. We gave our all. That’s all you can ask. We fought until the very end. We even tried a power play, tried something different. That’s all we can ask.”
Argentina already booked a seat in the quarterfinals after claiming its second win via a 3-2 win over Poland last Monday.
Agostina Chiesa will be one of the players to watch for the Argentines, having scored three goals in the tournament, including one last match.
