THE preparation for the Asian Cup and the Suzuki Cup kicks off this September as the Philippine Azkals fly to Bahrain for a week long camp and a friendly with the host country.
The Azkals hold camp until the 11th while taking on Bahrain on September 6 for a friendly.
Cardiff City ‘keeper Neil Etheridge headlines the 22-man pool that coach Scott Cooper selected as Stephan Schrock makes his grand return to the national team pool after a rocky relationship with then coach Thomas Dooley.
Azkals mainstays such as Phil and James Younghusband, Manny and Mike Ott and Amani Aguinaldo are also in the camp among others.
Notable names who aren’t in the camp are Javier Patino and Misagh Bahadoran.
