SARINA Bolden’s status for the Filipinas’ campaign in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia remains in doubt.
PWNT coach Mark Torcaso said Bolden is currently undergoing “rehabilitation” for the meantime, making the squad’s top striker and World Cup goal scorer questionable for the Asian Cup where they will be up against Saudi Arabia on June 29, Cambodia on July 2, and Hong Kong on July 5.

The Philippines is looking to top Group G and join seven other group winners in the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup to be held in Australia where the host country, China, South Korea, and Japan are already in.
“She is going through some rehabilitation at the moment. Hopefully, she will be okay,” said Torcaso during the postmatch press conference of the Filipinas’ 1-0 loss to Chinese Taipei on Tuesday night.
Several mainstays, however, are set to come back for the Asian Cup in Quinley Quezada, Katrina Guillou, and Meryl Serrano.
“Katrina, Meryl, Quinley, they are all experienced World Cup players and they are the players that they are going to be back for us in the Asia Cup qualifiers, and that’s the exciting thing for us,” said Torcaso.
The absence of the four aforementioned Filipinas veterans was the opportunity for Torcaso and the rest of the coaching staff to look at the other players from the Filipinas pool.
One of the players that made her Filipinas debut was 20-year-old striker and University of Denver product Megan Murray, who started in front for the Filipinas.
“But we saw so many glimpses of what are team can be about, and we are really proud of that. We know we are going to do a good job for the country,” said Torcaso.
