CERES Negros FC opens its 2019 AFC Cup campaign on Tuesday when it battles Shan United FC at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City.
The match is at 7:30 p.m.
Ceres is bracketed in Group F with Shan United FC of Myanmar, Becamex Binh Duong of Vietnam, and Persida Jakarta of Indonesia.
The Negrense booters, last year’s Philippine Premier League champions, returned to the AFC Cup after losing to Yangon United FC last month in the AFC Champions League qualifiers first round.
Ceres is looking to improve on last year’s finish when it reached the Asean zonal final only to lose to Home United of Singapore.
The Myanmar-based side is making its second campaign in the AFC Cup after finishing second in the domestic league.
