CERES-NEGROS FC beat Bali United, 4-0, on Wednesday night to stay unbeaten in the 2020 AFC Cup at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
Bienvenido Marañon scored twice as the Busmen picked up their second win to take first place in Group H with seven points.
The match was played behind closed doors following the rising cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Philippines.
Marañon scored in the 54th minute on a penalty after Stephan Schrock was brought down by William Pacheco. The Spanish striker gave the Busmen a sizeable gap when he headed home a goal in the 69th minute for a 3-0 lead.
OJ Porteria opened scoring in the 35th minute, and Robert Lopez knocked home Ceres’ fourth goal in the 73rd.
Bali dropped to fourth and last place in the group with three points.
The two clubs will face again in the next matchday on April 14.
