WHEN it rains it pours for Pachanga.
The offensive outpour continued for the former Division 2 champion on Thursday night when it cruised past Philippine Army, 3-1, in the United Football League at the Emperador Stadium.
Pachanga-PLDT Home Fibr had easy looks at goal again, getting points from Shayan Jafari, David Cortina, and Sim Hong Bo to win for the second straight time despite missing the services of leading scorer and Azkal Nate Burkey.
Coming off a six-goal romp against Socceroo that snapped a seven-game winless run, Pachanga actually stared at an early deficit, which the squad erased before pulling away in the second half.
Pachanga thus moved a spot up to fifth with 20 points, breaking a deadlock with their victims and supplanting Green Archers United on goal difference, although the latter has a game on hand.
Jeon Shin Seok put the Troopers, who were without national team goalkeeper Ed Sacapaño, ahead just two minutes into the game with a header.
But Jafari, a transfer window acquisition, sneaked in a goal with the game about to go into first-half stoppage time to knot the count, before skipper Cortina (55th) and Korean Sim (65') joined the scoring party to complete the rout.
