SINGAPORE – Bayern Munich and Liverpool test their level of readiness for their respective mother leagues as they face off in a friendly on Wednesday night at the National Stadium.

Bayern Munich vs Liverpool friendly preview

Before it opens its Bundesliga title defense on August 19 against Werder, Bayern Munich takes on Liverpool, which plays its first Premier League match earlier on August 13 against Chelsea.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. in the exhibition pitting European league heavyweights, an event backed by Allianz.

Bayern Munich is coming off a split in their two friendlies in Japan, losing to Manchester City, 2-1, on July 26, before hacking out a 1-0 win over top J1 League side Kawasaki Frontale three days later, with both matches at the Japan National Stadium.

The Bavarians continue their Asian tour in Singapore, this time against the Reds, who already had a feel of the National Stadium in a 4-0 rout of Leicester City just last Sunday.

Mo Salah is the target man for the Jurgen Klopp-mentored Liverpool, which is trying to improve on its fifth-place finish in the last Premier League.
