Phil Younghusband leads Azkals players called up for AFC Asian Cup qualifier vs Tajikistan
Phil Younghusband has been called up for the Azkals match against Tajikistan on June 13.

PHIL Younghusband lead the 23-man Philippine men's football team that will see action against Tajikistan in the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Qualifiers on June 13.

Younghusband scored two goals in the Azkals' 4-1 win over Nepal last March 28 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Group F of the third round of the qualification phase.

Also called up by Azkals head coach Thomas Dooley for the qualifying match in Dushanbe, Tajikistan were Amani Aguinaldo, Fitch Johnson Daviz Arboleda, Misagh Bahadoran, Jeffrey Christiaens, Kenshiro Michael Daniels, Dominic Liam Del Rosario, and Patrick Deyto.

Kevin Ingreso, Hikaru Minegishi, Jim Junior Munoz, Nicholas O'Donnell, Manuel Ott, Iain Ramsay, Camelo Tacusalme, Antonio Miguel Ugarte, Dennis Villanueva, Nathanael Ace Villanueva, Luke Woodland, and James Younghusband round up the other players called up from the Philippines Football League.

Mike Ott, Javier Patino, and Daisuke Sato are the three Azkals players who are playing aboard.

With the victory over Nepal, the Azkals are currently in first place with three points followed by fellow unbeaten team Yemen.

The same players will suit up for the Azkals in the friendly match against China on June 7 in Guangzhou.
