FAR Eastern University managed to save a point after being put to the test by University of the East, salvaging a 1-1 draw on Sunday in the UAAP football tournament.
An goal by Mar Diano just six minutes into the match quickly changed the complexion of the game.
Audie Menzi restored order for the Tamaraws in the 25th minute as his free kick from nearly 40 yards out tied the match.
Neither team was able to mount any offense up until the final whistle.
The Tamaraws remained in second place with 14 points before their match with league leading Ateneo on Thursday.
The Red Warriors are in sixth place with five points.
