MADRID — Promoted Alaves followed its historic win at Barcelona with a 0-0 home draw against Deportivo La Coruna on Monday (Tueday, Manila time).
Both teams failed to capitalize on their scoring chances at the Mendizorroza Stadium, missing a chance to move up the standings after four rounds.
Alaves, which stunned Barcelona 2-1 at Camp Nou last week, is ninth with six points, while Deportivo is 11th with five points.
Alaves is unbeaten since returning to the top flight this season. Deportivo hasn't won since its opener at Eibar.
"We did everything possible to get the win but it wasn't possible," Alaves defender Theo Hernandez said. "We have to keep working hard and adding points."
Real Madrid leads the league with 12 points. Barcelona and Las Palmas have nine points each.
