THE AFC Cup 2020 has been cancelled by the Asian Football Confederation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The AFC made the decision during its executive committee meeting via online conference, ending the campaign of United City Football Club and Kaya FC-Iloilo in the competition.
UCFC was supposed to take part of the AFC Cup after taking over the ownership of Ceres-Negros FC club, which was ahead in Group G with 10 points.
Kaya, meanwhile, was in second place in H with five points, behind the Tampines Rovers, who have seven points.

UCFC and Kaya have began training for the 2020 season of the Philippines Football League presented by Qatar Airways following the go-signal of the Inter-Agency Task Force for professional sports to resume practices.
The AFC also decided to cancel the AFC Futsal Club 2020, while the AFC U16 and U19 Championship were moved to early 2021.
The AFC Futsal Championship, meanwhile, will be hosted by Kuwait and the competition will be from December 2 to 13.
