AFTER ANNOUNCING that Nexplay will be replaced by Minana for Season 12, it was time for the org to proceed to the renaissance period.
Since Season 1, Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-anon played in the MPL scene however his tenure has finally come to a close as he is no longer a part of the squad. But he wasn't just the only one who left Minana as Danver "DingDR" Canja was also removed.
Instead he will be a part of the coaching staff alongside IsonAR, BitoyAR, and former MPL vet Douglas Joseph "Imbadeejay" Astibe II.
With Haze in the coaching staff, Minana will be banking on their young core featuring the following players.
Christian "GoyongAR" Martinez, Bien Salvador "BoyetAR" Chumacera, Borris James "BruskoAR" Parro, and Jan Dominic "DomengAR" Del Mundo, have all remained with the squad and theoir hoping to bring their game to the next level after a baptism by fire last season.
The Tiger Cubs step in
Then came the reinforcements, most of them coming from NXPE's Tiger Cubs. In comes Lance Aron "LansuAR" Misa, Brian Miles "Spider-MilezAR" Santos, Lance Walter "LanceCyAR" Cunanan, Jhon Marl "Lord JMAR" Sebastian, Ken Louie "KzenAR" Pile, and Oscar "SumpakAR" Romero.
During the preseason, the team grinded in the Juicy Legends Pro Division, finishing 1st Runner Up, losing to TNC in the finale.
With Minana banking on a young core, questions will be raised if their inexperience will get the best of them in Season 12. Last season, the team was overwhelmed by the veterans of the scene placing them at the bottom two of the standings.
