THE speculations and hints surrounding the dismantling of Nexplay's big three have indeed come true as Nexplay EVOS announced the departure of their roaming player, Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera.
The official post was revealed on the team's Facebook page.
The organization expressed their gratitude for his performances not only for his team, but also the MLBB scene.
They likewise wished the "III-DOLO" the best of luck in his journey.
Yawi career restrospective
Yawi first emerged in Season 6 of the MPL, where he was part of the controversial Nexplay team that was known for their trashtalking behavior.
However, as his career progressed, Yawi's playstyle evolved. In Season 7, he slowly became a rising force in the MPL scene alongside the other members of the big three, John Paul "H2wo" Salonga and Renejay "RENEJAY" Barcarse.
And his progression has reached a different level in Season 8, as his efforts yielded Nexplay's surprising third place finish in the regular season and a top four finish overall.
This was the highest position that Nexplay attained in their history competing in the MPL.
Where will Yawi go?
In one of his vlogs, Setsuna "Akosi Dogie" Ignacio expressed that four teams have expressed interest in acquiring Yawi.
Some hints indicate that Yawi might be gunning for an international team while others have speculated that the roamer might move to ECHO PH and form a super team with Bren's Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno.
