MPL SHOUTCASTER AND HEADCOACH, Caisam "Wolf" Nopueto took to social media to express the negativity he is currently receiving due to his statements which seem to be taken out of context.
On Twitter/X, he posted about the lack of sleep he garnered due to the level of misinformation.
He said: "Sleepless nights, psychosomatic pain over my whole body just because of misinformation. I dont remember saying this, in fact, I praised Team Liquid ID (TLID's) draft and Lord Dance."
Wolf even made clarifications saying: "I did say that RORA’s system will be superior when they do clash. But I never said that “They don’t know the meta."
Wolf was referring to a screenshot from Indonesian esports news outlet RevivalTV in which he translated the quote from their content.
It was stated that Wolf said: "They don't know about meta (TLID). Just look, their draft is not that strong. Everything will stop and TLID will bend the knee to Aurora. I say that because look how messy the TLID game is."
RevivalTV even captioned on their Instagram saying: "Criticism from one of the casters and trainers at MPL PH @wolfcasts regarding the Team Liquid ID game."
But was it really the case?

What Wolf really said
The quote came directly from Wolf's MPL ID livestream featuring Gerald "Dlar" Trinchera, Mark "Markyyyyy" Capacio, and Jaylord "Hatred" Gonzales. Right after Team Liquid ID secured their M6 World Championship slot, starting from the 1:49:00 mark, the entire crew shared their thoughts on TLID.
Here's what Wolf said: "Ok naman deserve naman nila (TLID)," he started.
Eventually the team consoled Filipino gold laner Eman "EMANN" Sangco, who was on the verge of making his very first World Championship appearance, then they expressed their support to TLID Filipino players Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera and James "Jeymz" Gloria.
As the group kept on talking, it was mentioned that "No need import" referring to TLID's ability to break the stigma that having foreign players is a catalyst to success. Liquid may have the likes of Yawi and Jeymz, but their used primarily for a reserve role.
So going back to Wolf, what did he say during the livestream?
"Kung ganun, na no need import, medyo agree ako diyan, I mean ok naman yun, maganda naman yun, pero hindi sila lalakas kung wala silang idea sa meta."
(If that's the case that there is no need for an import, I somewhat agree to that, and it's actually a good thing, but they (TLID) wouldn't be able to reach a higher level if they were clueless about the meta)
Wolf continued: "At least ngayon may mga play na, nakita niyo yung pag-Lord nila dun? Tsaka yung draft ng Liquid ang kati no?" (Right now, they have an identity, just look at how they executed their Lord dance? Also their drafting is unpredictable, right?)
Wolf praises TLID's draft
Right after the grand finale, Wolf published a podcast which featured Vincent "Pandora" Unigo as one of his guests. From there both individuals exchanged their thoughts on Team Liquid.
By the tailend of the video, both were left with high praises on the Indonesian Cavalry.
"Ang dami talagang baon itong Team Liquid" (Team Liquid has a plethora of surprises) said Pandora in the video.
Wolf agrees to his statement.
