FOR KARL "KARLTZY" NEPOMUCENO, being back in the world stage is something that excites him.
“Masaya po tapos nakaka-excite kasi nakabalik na po."
Back in the M2 World Championship, KarlTzy was praised as the best jungler and perhaps the best player in the scene. He is also excited about facing the best in the world, especially among the junglers.
Here's what he thinks of them.
"Si Kairi po, kasi malakas po siya tapos same kami ng hero. Si MobaZane kasi makulit."
Both Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol and Michael "MobaZane" Cosgun made headlines in the M3 World Championship. They went head-to-head in the upper bracket finals where the former bested the latter.
But now things are different. Kairi is now an MVP and considered to be the best player in the Indonesian scene.
Meanwhile, MobaZane is slowly showing that he is no longer a one-trick marksman-based jungler.
Alberttt vs. KarlTzy
While Karl looks forward to facing these two juggernauts, he still has to get through the knockout stages.
He'll have to focus on the grueling best-of-one group stage battle against Indonesia's RRQ.
RRQ features the so-called "baby alien" Albert "Alberttt" Iskandar, who garnered the nickname due to his mechanical skills reminiscent of Muhammad "Lemon" Ikhsan.
KarlTzy vs. Alberttt could be the headline spectacle in group C but for Karl, he doesn't consider Alberttt as a major threat.
"[Wa]la yon! Good luck na lang!"
Alberttt did stumble in the MSC against RSG PH's Jonard Cedrix "Demonkite" Caranto in the grand finals, which included a baffling Winter Truncheon error. Given how he performed in the MSC, it would be interesting to see how Alberttt bounces back.
With so many potential challengers, Karl wishes to rise to the occasion. He also threw shade shade to his rivals.
“Siguro yun po, gusto kong patunayan na ako pa rin yung magaling kahit sobrang daming nang nakakasabay, pinahabol ko lang talaga sila. (laughs)"
Despite some sarcastic remarks, Karl remains honored to return to the world stage.
“Masaya po tapos nakaka-excite kasi naka-balik na po,” he said.
