WITH AP ESPORTS and Bren Esports forging an alliance, questions will be raised on the future of Euphoria Esports, who partnered with Bren for MDL Philippines Season 1.
Will this mean that Bren-Euphoria will part ways for Season 2? Will Euphoria enter the MPL scene? Here's what Bren Esports Director Jab Escutin told Spin.ph.
"At least our goal with the partnership with Euphoria is that so that they can develop their own professional esports team. My goal, personal goal is that they get their own MDL slot," reflected Escutin.
He further elaborated his aspirations for Euphora saying: "So my goal is for them to get their own slot. So starting next season, we're moving on from that partnership. I'm hoping they get their own slot or at least they get confirmed with their own slot.
Then he revealed the team's plans for the upcoming development league.
"Pero right now, we're developing our own in-house MDL team for AP Bren," revealed the Bren Esports Director.

Why Euphoria's independence is preffered?
But besides talking about the team's plans for the development league, Sir Jab likewise explained the significance of Euphoria's independence to Spin.ph.
"So it's better for the industry as a whole because it shows na parang ano eh, it's not just the big companies or the established ones that get recognition, It's also the small ones."
He added: Siyempre parang for me kasi it helps the entire industry when small budding amateur teams get a chance to showcase their talents, showcase their skills, even their management team."
In the end, Euphoria's independence would mean that the pieces are ready for the next phase.
"So getting your own MDL slot is kind of a sign for everybody else that, 'Hey, this can work.' I can probably create my own team. I can make it there if I just do the work," he elaborated.
And as Bren will indepedently aim to hone their own talent, the arrival of AJ Ponce to the org will further boost their prowess given his overall experience.
AP Esports has been renowned for their scouting program as seen with the resurgence of ECHO PH's Alston "Sanji" Pabico and Burn X Flash's Mariusz "Donut" Tan.
"So AJ and his team is very good in developing new players for the industry. So we want to continue that with using the different platforms that we have or tournaments that we have so MDL is one thing," said Escutin.
