JONARD CEDRIX "DEMONKITE" CARANTO's arrival to RSG Malaysia was a massive surprise as he spent the preseason grinding with the Raiders' Filipino squad.

And with him being out of the MPL Philippines, the dream rematch between him and Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno will have to wait. Meanwhile his teammate, John "Irrad" Abarquez might be given more chances to fully showcase his Kairi-like potential.

With the sudden twist of events, it's puzzling to know why Demonkite's talents were taken elsewhere and Coach Brian "Panda" Lim revealed to Spin.ph the decision behind the move.

"So it was overall a management plus coach and team decision together with Demonkite. We trained him before the [ESL] Snapdragon and then while we're doing the Snapdragon, we had a meeting overall," he started.

"And then we all decided, let's focus on Irrad first for this MPL-PH because if I have two junglers, I always need to ponder about, 'Okay, I need to train this, I need to train this.
Sometimes if you try to get two stones at the same time, you might lose both," said the two-time MPL champion coach.

With the Demonkite-Irrad dilemma somewhat addressed, Coach Panda is hoping that things will go according to plan.

"So that is why we have [Demon]Kite go to Malaysia and then him doing his best and dominate over there in Malaysia, and then Irrad since he was just a sub in MDL last season, let's make him the main jungler this season, and then train him so that at least in the long run, we can have two junglers being the main and then sana meeting at the international stage at the same time," he revealed.

    Demonkite's reaction

Was Demonkite happy with the decision? Here's an exerpt from Coach Panda.

"I didn't really get to talk to him personally because it happened all of a sudden because after Snapdragon finished, he only stayed for like one or two days and then he had to leave again."

"But I cannot say that he was really 100% happy about it because of course, the Philippines is his home country where his family is and where his teammates are also."

Yet despite the drawbacks, the smiling demon viewed things from an optimistic point-of-view.

"But he understood that in the long run, this can be a good opportunity so he took it positively and then he said that he would also do his best in Malaysia," said Panda.

Can Demonkite return to the Philippines?

Given Coach Panda's statement, it seems the possibilities for Demonkite and Irrad to be the primary junglers of the team could reach a fruition and the ties between RSG PH and MY could lessen the burden for the Raiders.

"That's the good thing about having a sister team in RSG, is that the transfer can be so easily processed because you don't really need to buy out, you don't need to negotiate about the contract. Just one flight away, you can change teams," reflected Panda.

And while his return remains an enigma, Demonkite's arrival to Malaysia could bring a different level of competition in that region, something that Coach Panda is thrilled to witness.

"It's really good because you're able to build a new experience. Every single region has their own strength, like for example, in Malaysia, if you look at Todak, they have the weirdest meta ever."

"They played Layla, or before Minotaur became meta, they played Minotaur, so that's the good thing about Malaysia. Indonesia, Philippines, all different meta and strength also," explained the RSG coach.

And to spice things up, Coach Panda did hint on the possibilities of him coaching abroad.

"So in the long run I also want to experience going to international teams, but I need to finish my conquest here in the Philippines first."
