AP.BREN IS CURRENTLY 5-0 in MPL Philippines Season 13, topping the charts with 15 points.

To some this may not be something that would place their jaws on the floor as Bren has always been described as 'malakas.'

However when looking at the team's backstory, from having a restless 2023, and winning the biggest tournaments in Mobile Legends, there seems to be one important question that remains in our heads.

Bren has won it all, meaning they have nothing else to prove. Fatigue may have affected them last year as they went on a streak of tournaments, yet how on earth is the team still motivated?

In an interview with the press, Angelo Kyle "Pheww" Arcangel revealed the reason for his drive and hunger.

"It's just that we want to earn more money. If we win a lot, we will earn more money."

His answer drew some laughter inside the press room, however upon learning more about the intentions of the players and coaches, there was a sense of logic behind their motivation.

"Sa ngayon kasi secured na yung sa wedding namin e. Tapos may bahay na rin kami, siguro business na lang," he revealed.

But he wasn't the only one who felt the burden of what lies ahead, as even Coach Robert "Trebor" Sanchez has also been eyeing on his future.

"Kasi grabe na yung mga tinatayong business e, kaya kailangan mag-abala sa puhunan."

There have been many cases of MPL players using their earnings to invest in business ventures. For instance, Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera established his Food Hub, located in Paranaque.

MOONTON is banking big

Looking at the recent prize pool earnings in MLBB tournaments, one may notice a massive increase especially when comparing it to previous events.

Recently the Games of the Future event in Kazan, Russia offered a whooping $1 million dollar prize pool, where the winner garnered $350,000 (Php19 million).

AP.Bren ended up winning that tournament with a commanding 3-1 victory over Onic Esports.

Then when looking at MSC 2024, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the prize pool went bonkers at $3 million, with the winner bringing home $1 million (Php56 million).

Compare that to last year's MSC, where the winner only brought home $140,000 (Php7 million), under a $300,000 prize pool.

During tournaments, players have oftentimes been asked on what they'll do to their prize pool earnings, some even revealed a heartwarming story about their personal lives.
