2K GAMES recently announced that Kobe Bryant would once again grace the cover of the popular video game series for NBA 2K24. As we now hop aboard the NBA 2K24 hype train and get ready for another season of high quality virtual hoops, we can’t help but get excited for a lot of new players joining this year’s edition. Here are the players that we can’t wait to play as in NBA 2K24.

Victor Wenbanyama
The 19-year old Frenchman is the #1 Pick for the San Antonio Spurs in this year’s NBA Draft and is touted as a generational talent and rightfully so. Wemby is a 7’5 giant with tremendous potential. With a high release jump shot that's almost impossible to guard and an inhuman 8 feet wingspan that makes him a natural monster on defense, the ceiling is endless for Victor Wenbanyama.
While Wenby definitely needs to bulk up his lanky frame to survive in the NBA, in NBA 2K24 we’re already excited to see how we can cheese our way to victory and how many badges he can get.

Scoot Henderson
Touted as the most explosive guard in this NBA draft, Scoot Henderson will be a beast on the open court in NBA 2K24. With a crazy vertical of 46 inches and the handles to back it up, Scoot will surely be racking up the dunks in game and in real life.
Scoot Henderson is often compared to the prime Russel Westbrook and that will surely excite many fans. With Damian Lillard looking to get traded to the Miami Heat in the near future, the Portland Trailblazers can easily become Scoot Henderson’s team once he locks in the starting position.
Sasha Vezenkov
The reigning EuroLeague MVP is bringing his talents to a very young and competitive Sacramento Kings in the upcoming NBA season. Sacramento Kings have already been known to play the European style anchored by De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis so Sasha Vezenkov will fit right in.
What makes Vezenkov perfect for the Kings is his high IQ. The 6’9 Bulgarian has a silky smooth jump, moves well without the ball, and rarely needs to dribble the ball to score. Playing a quick tempo, pass-heavy Sacramento Kings in NBA 2K24 is making me even more excited with Vezenkov on board.
Jaime Jaquez Jr.
Jaquez Jr. is the 18th pick of the Miami Heat in this year’s draft and became the highest drafted Mexican player in NBA history. After playing a full four seasons for the UCLA Bruins, Jaquez Jr. is a player that’s ready to contribute for the Miami Heat.
2023’s Pac-12 Player of the Year is a versatile do-it-all 6’7 guard with a 7 feet wingspan and a good motor for scoring and making plays. He’ll be a fun glue guy to play with as the Miami Heat try to finally get Jimmy Buckets his ever elusive ring. Fun fact: Jaquez Jr. is already getting interest in the NBA with the Portland Trailblazers looking to acquire him in the supposed Damian Lillard trade.

Kai Sotto
The 7’3 Kai Sotto has often been compared to Victor Wenbanyama and Chet Holmgrem. Kai has a solid jumpshot and the length to be a menace on defense. While he didn’t wow the basketball world with his numbers at Adelaide 36ers and the Hiroshima Dragonflies, Sotto has what it takes to be a rotational big in the NBA.
At 21 years old, he still has a lot of time to reach his potential and with a stint on the Orlando Magic’s Summer League team on the horizon, many eyes will be on the young lad.
He’ll have to prove to the Magic management and the rest of the NBA that he can provide more than what the recently dropped Bol Bol showed in his last few seasons. While he is far from being guaranteed a spot on any NBA roster, prayers and hopes abound that we’ll finally be able to see a full-blooded Filipino in NBA 2K24 very soon...'para gulatin ang buong mundo.'
