AURORA GAMING shrugged off all the pressures that could have rattled their nerves, pulling off a commanding sweep against the Team Liquid Philippines on Saturday headliner at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.
Before anything else, what was the recipe behind Aurora’s jitterless performance in their faceoff against the reigning MPL Philippines titleholders, Team Liquid Philippines?
Aurora Gaming’s head coach, Aniel “Master The Basics” Jiandani, highlighted the impact of management’s help in driving Aurora to reach their full potential.
“Tingin ko malaking advantage ‘yung tulong na ginagawa ng management namin lalo na si Rada kasi ima-mindset niya agad ‘yung mga players na mawalan sila ng pressure bago pa mag-game,” Master The Basics revealed, crediting the contributions of Elrasec "Rada" Ocampo.
Looking back, Rada stood by Blacklist International through major MLBB titles, providing the Codebreakers a much needed morale boost and guidance through thick and thin before continuing his legacy with Aurora Gaming in the quest to the MPL Philippines Season 14 crown.
The Rada Effect
By fostering a positive mindset within the team, Rada created what Master The Basics described as the “Rada Effect," which has become Aurora Gaming’s cornerstone to victory.
“Hindi siya totally secret weapon, pero isa siya sa mga ingredient kung gusto mo talaga magkaroon ng malakas na team,” Master The Basics pointed out.
The “Rada Effect” trickles down from the management, coaches, and then ultimately to the players.
“Walang pressure. Just like every other game, kahit sinong kalaban hindi po ako nape-pressure. Lagi ko lang iniisip na malakas kami kasi kapag binabaan ko kasi ‘yung tingin ko sa team ko parang ibig sabihin lang nun may mas malakas sa amin na ibang team. Gusto ko kasi maging confident kaming lahat kahit sinong kalaban namin,” Aurora’s jungler Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto said, expressing confidence to his teammates.
Right after taking down the Liquid Philippines, Aurora Gaming set their sights and gear up to challenge the undefeated Fnatic ONIC PH and defending world champion Falcons AP.Bren in the remaining weeks of the regular season.
“I think pag nagtutuloy tuloy pa ‘yung improvement ng team, mas mababago namin ‘yung result kapag sila na ‘yung kalaban namin. Kailangan lang namin magpalakas pa para talagang matalo namin ‘yung matataas na teams,” Master The Basics said.
