Head coach Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza admitted feeling disappointed after their close call for a first win against Smart Omega yesterday but expressed gratitude in the team’s trust in his unorthodox draft composition.
“Sana ganung result ang mangyayari sana kahapon kung nagkaroon kami ng better execution, so malalabas sana namin yung iba pa naming mga lineup. Pero thankful pa rin ako na pagdating dito sa next match namin (vs. AP.Bren), hindi namin sinukuan yung lineups na binubuo namin. Nag work naman siya,” coach BON CHAN said.
Choosing unorthodox heroes is a gamble, as the outcome could either be a game-changer or a complete disaster. AP.Bren pushed the series to a game three, but Twisted Minds found their winning formula with the Alice and Angela combination.

“Siguro po, parang same scenario lang din sa kahapon po. 'Pag bago kasi yung lineup na kalaban mo, parang lason. Minsan mahirap talaga, di alam paano kalabanin,” Twisted Minds’ jungler Michael “MP the King” Endino said.
“Kasi yung meta kasi ngayon talaga assassin eh. Kumbaga, nasanay na lahat ng teams na kalabanin yung ganun, pero pag bigla mo niliko, parang mapapaisip yung team, “Paano ba kalabanin ito? ” Kaya feel ko malaking factor na, yun nga, bago yung lineup kaya nahirapan sila kalabanin,” he added.
MP the King secured two MVP titles on Alice, boasting a solid 3-1-11 KDA in game one and a flawless 7-0-9 KDA in game three.
AP.Bren made a crucial mistake in leaving Angela and Alice available for grabs for Twisted Minds in game three.
“Something na hindi ko nga din ine-expect eh. So after ng second game, ine-expect ko na baka tanggal nila ng tuluyan yung Alice. Pero nagulat din kami, binigyan pa tayo ng chance, so i-grab na natin to,” BON CHAN explained.
As much as Coach BON CHAN supports his team through their struggles, he also remains confident in his strategic draft choices, even when they are difficult to execute.
“Kahit na sabihin ng iba na, ‘Huy, ang weird ng draft na ito,” ako talagang totally wala na akong pakialam basta ma-execute lang natin itong lineup na to. Pusuan natin, nag-wo-work siya sa practice, ipakita niyo sa mismong live match, sa stage, na gagana talaga siya,” he expressed.
