THE PHOENIX ARMY just got a massive power-up as TNC Pro Team finally revealed its MPL Philippines Season 16 lineup, headlined by the seasoned roamer Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog.
A proven leader and playmaker, Ch4knu’s sharp instincts and tactical brilliance powered Smart Omega to runner-up finishes in MPL Philippines Seasons 7 and 9, along with a championship trophy back in the 2021 MLBB Southeast Asia Cup.
His wealth of experience is expected to be a game-changer for TNC’s title aspirations.
The move comes as no surprise for many fans, especially after Ch4knu was spotted in one of AkoSiDogie’s vlogs last month, fueling speculation of his transfer. He will now step into the role vacated by former TNC roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera.
HITO IS BACK!
TNC’s roster change doesn’t end there. The squad will also see the return of Robert “Hito” Candoy, whose infectious energy and aggressive playstyle are set to ignite the MPL stage.
Hito recently suited up for ONIC Arsenals in MDL Philippines Season 3 after taking his talents overseas to join Malaysia’s Team Haq as a gold laner during MPL Malaysia Season 11.
The Phoenix Army’s lineup for Season 16 now consists of Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico, Justine “Zaida” Palma, Lance “LanceCy” Cunanan, Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales, Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog, and Robert "Hito" Candoy.
TNC previously broke their five-season drought that started in Season 10 and placed 6th in Season 15. Will Phoenix Army once again rise from the ashes and finally win the title in the upcoming season with the reinforcement of a dependable veteran?
