Beyond the result, TNC saw the victory as a breakthrough that validates the long hours they’ve invested in practice and preparation.
“Ang goal namin ay mailabas yung laro namin. Kung ano yung nalalaro namin sa scrims, maipakita namin ng walang alinlangan, walang doubt. Masaya ako kasi nalabas talaga yung potential namin. Sana magtuloy tuloy,” Head Coach Patrick “E2Max” Caidic said during the post-match interview.
“Sobrang focused nila mag-practice. Yung disiplina nila nitong past few weeks naging maayos talaga, kumayod sila,” he revealed.
E2MAX admitted that while the result was positive, their execution was far from perfect, underscoring the need to finish games neatly—particularly against tough opponents like Team Falcons.
More room for improvement
“Di mo pa rin masasabi na panalo ka unless matapos mo diba. So kahit meron kang magandang early game, kung hindi mo kaya tapusin yung game, wala rin. Based naman sa result, nagkaroon ng comeback kanina, masaya ako kasi na-handle namin yung late game na matagal na naming problema,” E2Max explained.
TNC dictated the tempo in Game 1, then relied on Ch4knu’s stability on Grock to withstand Team Falcons’ late game surge in Game 2.
Still, the coach stressed that there’s plenty of room for improvement.
“Kahit na 2-0, meron pa rin talagang makikitang mga lapses lalo na sa mga skill layering. Maraming sanang time na mas makaka-snowball kami, pero dahil sa mga maling pindot ng skill o timing, medyo tumatagal yung game,” he continued.
The victory serves as proof of progress, but the mission is far from over.
“Hindi naman porket nanalo ka, hindi ka na titingin ng mga improvement,” E2MAX expressed, refusing to be overly confident while remaining dedicated to having more improvements.
TNC Pro Team improves to a 1-2 record, snapping their Week 1 slump and finally getting on the scoreboard in the regular season.
With their first triumph finally secured, TNC now turns its attention to sustaining momentum, building confidence, and proving that this result is just the beginning of their rise in Season 16.
