DESPITE winning three championships since bringing him onboard, TnC Predator’s Dota 2 squad made the sudden announcement that it is releasing its team captain, Park “March” Tae-won, from the official team roster.
“[T]he team has decided to go towards a different path to achieve our goals,” said TnC Predator in an official statement. “Although this is where March parts his way from us, it is definitely not the end of our friendship.”
March also released a brief statement.
“There is [an] end to everything, had a great run[,] met amazing teammates and people. The best year I had in my long DOTA career,” said the team’s former captain.
The veteran DOTA pro was signed up by the team about a year ago. Under the guidance of the Korean Canadian player, TnC Predator claimed the top spot in ESL One Hamburg, this September's ESL One Thailand 2020: Asia, and, last November, the Filipino team's first Major in MDL Chengdu.
TnC Predator acknowledged his leadership in its statement.
“Through many ups and downs, our Captain March has proved his abilities to execute game winning strategies and correct judgements on the different aspect of the game for the team to fully realize its potential that will later become essential in winning the first Major of the current DPC season,” it said.
It also commended his innovative strategies. “Park Tae-won will always be a key mover for this team and we will always cherish the fruits of the hard work our roster achieved. Salamat March!” said the statement.
