MAKE IT TWO-for-two as the Philippine National Esports Team (Sibol) garnered two gold medal finishes in the IESF Asian qualifiers for both Dota 2 and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Both games saw Team Sibol command their rivals as the Dota 2 team swept Myanmar 2-0 in the finale, meanwhile the Mobile Legends squad crushed dark horse Mongolia 3-0.

Game 1 saw the Philippines, consisting of members from AP Bren Esports, deploy the one hero that is considered cursed for the Beehive: Floryn.
Yet despite the doubts surrounding the Floryn pick, Bren cruised at the early stages of the game as they commanded the entire map. Mongolia struggled to generate any opening as Angelo Kyle "Pheww" Arcangel's Joy pick and David "Flap" Canon's Lapu-Lapu picks were wrecking havoc, in Sibol secured the Game 1 win.
The following games likewise saw Sibol dictate the early tempo, which snowballed all the way to the end en route to their victories in Games 2 and 3.
Meanwhile the Dota 2 squad, which consists of members from Polaris Esports, encountered a heavy resistance from their Burmese rivals. It was back-and-forth for both teams in the series
Game 1 saw a classic carry battle between Myanmar's Terrorblade and the Filipino Morphling then Game 2 saw Sibol challenging a snowballed Medusa.
But despite the opposition's prowess, it was the Philippines who found the solution to secure their gold medal.
Sibol's next IESF campaigns will be for the World Esports Championships 2023 to be held in Iasi, Romania. The tournaments will commence on August 25.
