TEAM LIQUID Philippines kicked off their MPL Philippines Season 15 campaign on a high note, sweeping Team Falcons and Smart Omega to claim the top spot in the opening week standings.

It’s only the opening week of MPL Philippines Season 15 but action packed matches kept MPL fans on the edge of their seats.

Let’s take a look back at how Team Liquid PH rallied to the top in week 1 of MPL Philippines Season 15.

The Cavalry went for a hunt

Team Liquid Philippines secured a decisive sweep of 2-0 win over Team Falcons on Saturday, with ex-Blacklist International star Kiel “Oheb” Soriano delivering a standout performance in his debut with the squad.

In game one, Team Falcons grabbed an early game advantage after securing two turtle objectives, but Team Liquid’s high-stakes 13-minute lord contest turned the tables.

Rampaging through the last push, Oheb snipped it down for a maniac kill score against Team Falcons to seal the deal for Team Liquid PH.

Oheb delivered a masterclass in marksmanship, earning the MVP title on Granger with an 8-1-4 KDA.

In game two, Team Liquid went unstoppable to pull off a lopsided 12-5 score against Team Falcons.

Team Falcons debuted a Lukas pick and handed Selena to Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, the only player who achieved a savage kill score using the assassin-mage hero since MPL Philippines Season 3. But Team Liquid remained unfazed and pushed them against the wall.

Team Liquid took massive map control and displayed a scrappy defense, keeping their entire turret line intact in a 12-minute standoff against Team Falcons.

Oheb went for back-to-back MVP citations with Harith pulling off a 6-0-5 KDA and 100% kill participation.

Team Liquid brings the plot twist

Team Liquid Philippines defeated Twisted Minds for another dominant 2-0 sweep on Sunday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

In game one, Team Liquid PH turned the heat up and overpowered Twisted Minds with a crushing 10-2 finish.

Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s Hilda proved unstoppable as he led the Cavalry to a 12-minute win, capping off the game with a solid 1-0-8 KDA.

Twisted Minds gained a slight upper hand in the early game of match two against Team Liquid PH, but their momentum crumbled when Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno secured a crucial turtle steal at the 5-minute mark.

KarlTzy on Suyou secured a crucial double kill during the final base siege, leading Cavalry to a swift victory in just 9 minutes with a 9-2-4 KDA.

Team Liquid PH holds a slim lead over Aurora Gaming, with just a one-point advantage in net game wins (4-3).

MPL Philippines Season 15 action continues in its second week on March 7-9, with Team Liquid PH aiming to maintain their spot at the top.
