TEAM LIQUID PH is the final bastion of hope for the Philippines in the MSC 2025 tournament as they managed push through and proceed to the grand finals of the tournament.
With a 3-1 masterclass over Onic Indonesia, The Cavalry simply stampeded over their foes.
Game 1 was a classic Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya masterclass as his Arlott was the ultimate game changer. With his timed ult setups, Onic ID was forced to play on the defensive.
Charging into the grand finals
Then after a glorious Game 1 victory, Liquid was forced a heated warfare in Game 2 as they went back-and-forth vs. Onic ID.
There were moments where Liquid shined as seen when they killed one of Onic's damage dealers in Gilang "SANZ," but the Indonesian squad saw some breath of life as seen from their 20th minute response to deny Liquid's potential backdoor play.
It was a thrilling encounter all the way to the end, where it seemed Liquid's final push would go to waste as all of their members were killed but somehow they managed to secure the main objective, surviving Game 2.
Game 3 could've been Team Liquid's moment especially as Jaypee "Jaypee" Dela Cruz' Minotaur and Sanford's Arlott slowed down Onic but a 15th minute overextension from The Cavalry turned the tides, forcing Game 4.
Only this time around, Team Liquid's discipline prevailed as they punished Onic ID in most teamfights, opening the doors for their grand finals appearance. They'll face Malaysia's Selangor Red Giants OG Esports in the finale.
Meanwhile Onic ID will face their sibling, Onic PH, in the bronze medal match.
