IT'S THE BATTLE BETWEEN THE M4 World Champions vs. M5 World Champions as Team Liquid ECHO and Falcons AP.Bren went head-to-head in the Season 13 finale.
Many would've seen a close series between these two team as they both grinded their way in a 5-game upper bracket clash.
But it turned out to be anticlimactic as ECHO dominated the entire series 4-0.
The series saw ECHO utilize RSG PH's gameplan against Team Falcons AP.Bren, of going all out and disrupting the momentum of the Falcons and Bees.
EXP laner Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya was a key cog in the series, as he ended up bagging the finals MVP award.
The cavalry arrives
Game 1 was a back-and-forth encounter as Team Liquid ECHO went all out and tried their best to halt Bren's momentum but the latter was prepared for their assaults.
However there were instances when Bren was slowly able to bounce back all thanks to Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano's snowballed Moskov.
It may seem like the Soaring Falcons and Bees would make a comeback, but ECHO slowly dismantled Bren leading to the Cavalry's Game 1 win.
The same level of aggression was seen in Game 2 where Liquid ECHO stunned the defending champs with their Luo Yi and Carmilla combo. The level of mobility and map control the former offers combined with Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno's Baxia would overwhelm their foes.
Combined that with the damage outburst from Sanford "SanFord" Vinuya's Paquito and Frederic Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales' Roger and ECHO has total command of the game.
But like in Game 1, Super Marco slowly crept his way, though ECHO was able to once again look for ways to deal with him, leading to a 2-0 advantage.
Given ECHO's dominance, will AP.Bren be able to bounce back? There was nothing that the Falcons and Bees could do as ECHO once again commanded the entire map with their level of aggression and the same antics were used in the following games,
Alston "Sanji" Pabico was a beast in Game 3 as his Valentina stole a lot of key spells and his early rotations with Sanford pummelled Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson.
Then in Game 4, Sanji's Valentina took centerstage, stealing the abilities of Super Marco's Roger. He was clutch specifically in the final battle as he managed to survive a barrage from Bren's gold laner.
In the end, he delivered the finishing touches, punctuated by a 4-0 demolition.
