TEAM Liquid claimed another win after defeating Saudi Arabia’s Team Falcons, while Aurora Gaming PH survived CFU Gaming on Day 2 of the M7 World Championship Swiss Stage in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Cavalry shoot down Falcons

Team Liquid secured back-to-back wins in the Swiss Stage after stomping Team Falcons, moving one step closer to a spot in the Knockout Stage.

Early in the game, Team Falcons took a small gold lead after securing the first turtle.

Momentum swung in favor of the Cavalry when Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno on Nolan secured the turtle at five minutes. This allowed Kiel “Oheb” Soriano on Claude to catch Sulaiman “Saano” Alrashdi’s Granger for an off-camera kill in the bottom lane.

Team Falcons tried repeatedly to break into Team Liquid’s backline, targeting Alston “Sanji” Pabico on Pharsa, but their efforts often failed.

At the 9-minute midlane clash, Muath “Cuffin” Alkoraini jumped in with Valentina after copying the Avatar of the Guardian skill. Sanford and Oheb read the play perfectly, turning it into a clean two-man takedown.

Team Liquid maintained control by securing the first Lord, keeping Team Falcons on the defensive.

Team Falcons attempted to hold their line, but Team Liquid’s flawless wave management proved decisive as they pushed through to end the match in just 15 minutes.

Northern Lights shine bright

Aurora Gaming PH finally entered the winning column after defeating Cambodia’s CFU Gaming, improving its record to 1-1.

Aurora Gaming PH took control early, not conceding any deaths until the 4-minute turtle clash in the bottom lane, which still ended in a 3-for-1 trade favoring Aurora.

CFU Gaming found a window when Nhem “Detective” Chandavan on Leomord captured the 5-minute turtle and led his team to eliminate four Aurora members, destroying the middle lane outer turret.

Vann “Wadu” Dane’s timely Sora pick-off on Dominic “Domengkite” Del Mundo’s Claude at the 14-minute midlane clash allowed CFU to take the Lord uncontested, swinging momentum in their favor.

Aurora refused to back down. Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto on Yi Sun Shin scored a double kill at 19 minutes, giving Aurora Gaming PH control of the final Lord objective.

In the final push, Domengkite secured another double kill to seal the victory. Edward “Edward” Dapadap on Lapu-Lapu earned MVP honors with fearless teamfight initiations and a standout 4-2-13 KDA.

Aurora Gaming PH now shifts focus to its upcoming match against Mongolia’s Team Zone in the 1-1 Group, while Team Liquid prepares to face Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants in 2-0 Group of the Swiss Stage.
