TEAM Liquid and Aurora Gaming PH are on the right and steady track, needing just one more victory to punch their tickets to the M7 World Championship Knockout Stage in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The target number in the Swiss Stage is three in order to advance to the knockout stage, a target within reach for both Filipino squads. Lose three, however, and they’re out.
For the 2-0 Team Liquid, their first of three chances to advance to the next stage comes when they take on their toughest test in the Swiss Stage yet – Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants in a rematch of the MSC 2025 Grand Finals
The Cavalry and the Giants then move on to the best-of-three format in the Swiss Stage Round 3 on Tuesday, 7PM with the winner earning a Knockout Stage berth and the loser settling for a 2–1 record and another chance down the line.

Meanwhile, Aurora Gaming PH continues its redemption arc after defeating Mongolia’s Team Zone, putting them just one win away from a Knockout Stage berth with a 2–1 series score—a stark contrast to their heartbreaking early Swiss Stage exit last M6.
In the previous edition, Aurora bowed out early with a 1–3 record, losing to Falcon Esports, NIP Flash, and Team Liquid ID, with just one victory coming against Ulfhednar.
Now just one victory from the Knockout Stage, the Northern Lights cannot afford complacency in the unpredictable Swiss format, where outcomes can shift in a blink of an eye.
Like the Team Liquid and Selangor Red Giants match, Aurora Gaming PH’s next games will be settled in a best-of-three format from hereon out.
However, unlike the Cavalry, the Northern Lights will only get two shots at qualifying after losing to that same team in Day 1.
Aurora awaits the draw at the end of the day to determine its next opponent.
For Team Liquid, advancing to the Knockout Stage is another step toward achieving the Golden Road, while Aurora Gaming PH fights to redeem itself from last M6’s early exit. Two journeys, one shared mission: extend the Philippines’ world championship streak to six.
