A true man of few words, Super Marco keeps his cool, acting as if it’s usual business in the Land of Dawn to take down reigning world champions.
“Sobrang saya,” he said casually during the broadcast interview with Odin and Hans.
His cool and composed personality off the battlefield contrasts with his elite marksmanship, which even earned praise from ONIC Philippines’ head coach, Tony “YnoT” Senedrin in an exclusive with SPIN.ph.
“He's really untouchable. Bagay sa kaniya yung moniker niya. You know, even us in game one having the Fanny, hirap pa rin siyang mapasok. So he's just really a very well-rounded player. He's good at laning, good at positioning. He's good at following up sa mga initiator ng team niya. Hats off to Marco. I think he's [been] really the most consistent gold laner for so long already,” coach YnoT said, praising Super Marco’s incredible mechanical skills.
Super Marco does not only embody being a “chill guy” but also a humble one, pointing out what needs to be improved despite stellar performance against ONIC Philippines.
“Tingin ko hindi ako consistent kasi sa mga ibang games ko may mga errors din ako na pwede iwasan. Kaso nangyayari mga ganun na hindi dapat mangyari. Marami pa ma-i-improve. Paangat pa lang,” he said in the post-match interview.

Bawing-bawi!
Team Falcons (formerly Falcons AP.Bren) were unable to break past ONIC Philippines (formerly Fnatic ONIC Philippines) since last season, but the Falcons remained hungry to change their fate today.
“Siguro yung gigil namin sa pagbawi sa kanila [ONIC PH]. Since naubo yung roster nila hindi pa kami nananalo sa kanila. Gusto talaga namin makabawi man lang sa kanila kahit ngayong regular season man lang. Pero alam naman natin na may second round pa at playoffs pa,” Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel expressed during the press conference.
Never one to rest on his laurels, team captain Pheww kept his sights set on unwavering consistency throughout the season.
“Hindi namin iniisip na bumalik na yung form namin. Tapos tuloy-tuloy lang kami sa pag-i-improve, tsaka pinaka-goal talaga namin maging consistent. Kasi parang yun yung sakit namin nung mga nakaraang season. Kahit dominating kami, may pagka-inconsistent kami,” Pheww pointed out.
After falling short of the M6 World Championship last year, with losses to ONIC Philippines in the MPL PH Season 14 upper bracket finals and Aurora MLBB in the lower bracket finals, Team Falcons turned their setbacks into motivation to reclaim their throne.
“Hindi masaya kasi hindi kami naka-qualify ng worlds. Ganun talaga, minsan mananalo ka, minsan matatalo. Alam naman namin yun na hindi lahat ng games kaya namin ipanalo. Kada talo naman namin, lagi kami namo-motivate. Mas gusto namin bumawi talaga,” Pheww said, recalling the heartache of not qualifying for the M6 World Championship.
