Team Falcons found themselves battling through turbulent skies, and Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano did not hold back in offering a straightforward evaluation of their performance.
“Sobrang disappointed din ako sa laro namin kasi maganda rin yung mga results ng scrim namin kaso di lang nadala sa tournament,” Super Marco said in an exclusive interview with SPIN.ph, expressing disappointment over their inability to replicate their scrimmage results in their rematch against Team Liquid Philippines.
The MPL Philippines continues to prove itself as the hub of the strongest teams in the world, where even the slightest miscalculation can be taken advantage of and spell a major difference.
“Siguro yung problem namin siguro yung nagkakaroon kami ng unnecessary deaths sa early [game] kaya nakaka-snowball yung Liquid. Nama-maximize yung namamatay sa amin,” Super Marco explained.
“Disappointed din ako sa laro ko kasi tingin ko sobrang dominating namin pero di naman kami sobrang lamang para sabihing dominating kami,” he added.
Team Falcons may have fallen short to overcome Team Liquid PH, with the Filipino Sniper Kiel “Oheb” Soriano breaking through the armor of the Bulletproof Super Marco. But in the end, it was all about grace in defeat and mutual respect.
“Mas naging aggressive siya kasi siguro dahil sa team niya ngayon. Tingin ko fit siya sa Liquid. Na-impress ako sa pagbabago niya (Oheb),” Super Marco pointed out, acknowledging Oheb’s progress and impact in making Team Liquid PH more lethal this season.
Meanwhile, Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo also commended the progress of Team Liquid PH, drawing comparisons between their previous and current level of play.
“This season, tingin ko mas aggressive yung approach nila sa laro. Tapos, yung last season naman may pagka-aggressive sila; uma-advantage naman sila pero di nila magamit nila nang maayos. Tingin ko ngayon nagagamit nila nang maayos, tapos nakikita nila yung power spike ng hero nila,” Owgwen said.
