LIVING up to its reputation as streak breakers reputation, Team Falcons snapped defending champion Team Liquid PH’s perfect 9-0 run, swept M7 World Champion Aurora Gaming PH, and, most importantly, became the second team to secure a playoff spot at the conclusion of MPL Philippines Season 17 Week 6 at Victoria Sports Tower in Quezon City.

The Falcons have now racked up eight straight wins, sitting in second place with a strong 9-1 record, made even sweeter by avenging their Week 2 loss to the Cavalry.

Team Falcons made tough matchups against Team Liquid PH and Aurora look effortless, while Michael “Kyle” Sayson continued to solidify his status as one of the season’s top junglers with back-to-back Match MVPs.

Finding the Cracks in the Cavalry’s Armor

The Falcons had to battle back from an early deficit but they were nonetheless up to the task after securing a 2-1 comeback win, ending the Cavalry’s nine-game run in the process.

Team Liquid and Falcons went toe-to-toe early in Game 1, highlighted by Kyle’s Leomord initiation during the 4-minute turtle fight which allowed Hadji’s Pharsa to secure a double kill on Sanford’s Phoveus and Jaypee’s Gatotkaca.

The gold difference was almost even, yet KarlTzy’s Fredrinn struck fast—taking down Hadji with the Appraiser’s Wrath at the 5-minute mark in mid lane before stealing Kyle’s purple buff to stay ahead.

Holding firm to the lead, the Cavalry relied on Sanford’s Phoveus, who went all in during the crucial 14-minute siege and took down Flap’s Alice and Hadji’s Pharsa for a double kill.

Sanji’s Yve earned the MVP honors with a perfect 6-0-11 KDA.

Team Falcons flipped the momentum in Game 2, taking control early by catching Teddy’s Moskov and his teammates out of position, allowing Kyle’s Guinevere to claim a double kill on KarlTzy’s Suyou and Sanford’s Terizla during a bloody 7-minute top lane fight.

After taking the second Lord, Kyle landed a perfectly timed Conceal–Violet Requiem combo, knocking up Sanford’s Terizla and Jaypee’s Gatotkaca to ultimately secure Team Falcons the win by destroying the Cavalry’s base.

Kyle produced a standout 4-0-11 KDA performance, acting as the Falcons’ saving grace to tie the series at 1-1.

Team Falcons ran over Team Liquid in Game 3 in 11 minutes and 17 seconds, highlighted by a spectacular maniac kill from Kyle’s Suyou in the final push.

The stats speak for themselves as MVP Kyle finished with another stellar 8-0-2 KDA performance.

No Turbulent Flight

Team Falcons made quick work of M7 World Champions Aurora Gaming PH with a 2-0 sweep, walking out of Week 6 with an 8-match winning streak and a 9-1 record.

In Game 1, Team Falcons dictated the pace with relentless aggression against Aurora, snowballing from early to late game after securing every Turtle and two Lord objectives.

Despite Aurora’s valiant stand, Falcons capitalized on a crucial opening when Flap’s Sora executed a Flicker–Storm Bind combo during the 14-minute base siege, paving the way for Kyle’s Suyou to secure a game-ending double kill.

Kyle put on a masterclass with Suyou, finishing with a flawless 7-0-2 KDA to propel Falcons to a 1-0 match lead against Aurora.

Game 2 saw Falcons riding the momentum, exploding into an early 3,000 gold lead and a 5–1 scoreline, powered by Hadji’s Yve double kill after Kyle’s Harley secured the 5-minute turtle objective.

With only Edward’s Phoveus and Domengkite’s Moskov left defending, Aurora faltered under intense pressure, and Falcons seized the moment to end Game 2 in just 12 minutes and 53 seconds.

Kyle’s Harley spelled the major difference with a masterful 8-0-5 KDA against Aurora, while Owgwen’s Kalea held the frontline with an impressive 0-0-14 KDA performance.
