SMART OMEGA charges into MPL Philippines Season 16 with a revamped roster, assembling a rising star and seasoned players in pursuit of a redemption arc.
The Barangay’s new-look squad features former See You Soon jungler Dean "Raizen" Sumagui, Twisted Minds duo James "Jeymz" Gloria and Salic “Hadji” Imam, Team Vamos standout Kenneth "Netskie" Barro, and collegiate sensation “Peuder” from Adamson University.
Known for his sharp mechanics and bold plays, Raizen returns to the MPL PH after serving Cambodia’s See You Soon.
Raizen is no stranger to Smart Omega, as he previously played from Season 8 to 11, powering up the squad to a runner-up finish in Season 9 and a third-place podium at the 2022 MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC).
Smart Omega is also welcoming Jeymz and Hadji to the Barangay, with Jeymz bringing his expertise in the EXP lane and Hadji adding his versatility in the midlane and roam position—perfect weapons for keeping up with the ever-changing meta. Hadji once played for the Barangay back in MPL PH Season 6 and the M2 World Championship.
Former Team Vamos standout Netskie is finally coming home to the local stage as the team’s new gold laner, chasing the dream he’s held onto since the M6 World Championship.
Completing the fresh faces in the lineup is Peuder, a promising talent from Adamson University’s collegiate MLBB team. All eyes will be on him as he steps into his rookie MPL season.
