TWISTED Minds Country Manager Lexie Yambao confirmed that Miguel “Sionnn” Alcantara sustained only a minor cut from a freak motorcycle accident inside a fast-food restaurant last Thursday night.

The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. at McDonald’s BF Aguirre in Parañaque City, located near the team’s bootcamp. Sionnn and his teammate Michael “MP the King” Endino were inside the store claiming their food when a sudden crash startled them.

“Last night, Sionnn and MP went to McDonald’s. Pagdating nila sa counter para i-claim ‘yung food, bigla raw may malakas na tunog na parang shotgun, according to MP. Then, ‘yun pala nabasag na ‘yung glass ng resto,” Yambao told SPIN.ph.

“Kwento nila, parang nagpapasikat ‘yung babaeng crew ng motor. Nag-pass out daw ‘yung rider after bumangga pero wala na siya doon pagdating namin,” she added.

Yambao clarified that she wasn’t at the scene when it happened. She only found out after Sionnn informed the team’s group chat, showing his bloodied foot, the motorcycle on the floor, and shattered glass everywhere.

“Nag-chat lang si Sionnn sa GC namin showing his foot na dugoan tapos ‘yung motor nakahiga pa sa shattered glass,” she recalled.

The branch had already called for an ambulance, but Yambao decided not to wait and instead rushed to the scene with Coach Kristoffer “Bon Chan” Ricaplaza.

Fans first learned of the accident after Coach Bon Chan posted a video on social media. But Yambao reassured supporters that the 20-year-old player did not sustain serious injuries.

“He is okay. He just needs time to fully recover,” she explained.

She also revealed that the McDonald’s branch management had committed to shoulder Sionnn’s medical expenses.

The incident, however, deeply worried his family.

“Na-shock daw po mama niya and super nag-alala.

Yambao said she was grateful the accident did not result in a more serious injury and used the moment to remind motorists about road safety.
