Coach Ducky reveals screenshots on alleged MDL match fixing

AP.BREN'S COACH FRANCIS "Ducky" Glindro cryptically posted something on his official Facebook page saying: "If you fixed your matches in MDL PH S3, best believe I will find out and you are all going home. You know who you are and im coming for you."

He then posted a screenshot, which showed an alleged conversation featuring someone known as Jigen Paul. According to the screenshot, Paul is allegedly fixing matches in the MDL and even MPL.

"I will find out whoever this guy is working with and some other people who fixes matches and deal with you so efn good you won't forget about me. You're a disgrace of a Head Coach," said Ducky on his Facebook page.

And because of Coach Ducky's revelations, UST's official esports org, the Teletigers Esports Club, published a public statement on Jigen Paul, who also turns out to coach UST's MLBB squad.

Teletigers' terminates and bans Jigen Paul

"The organization has noted the actions of Jigen Paul Dwagne S. Masangkay, also known as "Jigen Paul," a former coach of the ML:BB team at Teletigers Esports Club (TGR)."

It was also revealed that Paul hasn't been fulfilling his duties as a coach.

"TGR contracted the coaching services of Jigen Paul on the 7th of August, 2023; and has been inactive since late November 2023. The organization, its management, the ML:BB managerial staff, and players were completely unaware of the external actions of Jigen Paul."

In the end, Jigen Paul was severely punished by the org.

"Due to the allegations and accusations of match-fixing, fraud, and other unsportsmanlike behavior, the organization had decided to terminate his Collegiate Esports Staff Agreement due to his alleged involvement in a match-fixing issue in MDL/MPL and his inability to perform his responsibilities as a coach to one of our teams, specifically Team C."

"With this, effective immediately, Jigen Paul is terminated and permanently banned from any organizational activities and future events. Teletigers Esports Club is a collegiate organization that has a zero-tolerance policy for any type of fraud, gambling, and any other unsportsmanlike behavior."

UPDATE: MDL Philippines issues a statement

Due to the recent allegations, the MDL Phillipines published a statement, which highlighted that they are currently investigating on the matter.

In their statement they said: "We are aware of the community discussions about the alleged game-fixing in MDL Philippines Season 3 and the league is already investigating this matter."
