A CLASH OF champions erupted between regional rivals ONIC Indonesia and Team Liquid Philippines in the Group Stage of the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2025, and Alston “Sanji” Pabico and Gilang “Sanz” went head-to-head to prove whose magic reigns supreme.
Team Liquid PH outclassed ONIC ID with a 2-1 reverse sweep, and Sanji had some few, yet spicy, words after going up against one of Indonesia’s top-tier midlaners.
“I think it’s nothing. Iniisip ko lang na normal na tao lang din naman siya. Kaso mas malupit pa rin talaga ako dun eh,” Sanji said with full confidence during the post-match interview.
(“I think it’s nothing. I just see him as a normal person too. But I’m still way better than him.”)
Sanji proved to be more lethal with 8 kills in the series, while Sanz trailed with only 6.
Meanwhile, Head Coach Rodel “Arsy” Cruz still credited Sanz for his commendable performance and described him as a serious threat that shouldn't be overlooked.
“For me, it's still Sanz, because he can still lift up the team (ONIC ID). He's very challenging for Sanji,” Coach Arsy explained.

In a Group Stage matchup that felt like a grand finale, ONIC ID and Team Liquid PH delivered an instant classic—proving just how steep the competition has become.
“It’s very exciting, and we also want to show our potential for the championship title. I can say ONIC Indonesia taught us so many lessons,” Coach Arsy reflected.
