IN LIGHT OF recent events, which saw Coach Francis "Ducky" Glindro calling out an alleged fixer of MDL matches, forcing UST's esports org to ban the culprit, the MDL Philippines is making a thorough investigation on the matter.
Eventually esports orgs in the PH such as TNC and Onic have declared their commitment in coordinating with the MDL Philippines in the investigations, and the same can be said with RSG Philippines.
However upon digging deep into the allegations, RSG Philippines spotted two individuals, from their MDL roster, who allegedly got themselves involved in match fixing.
"We have been made aware of allegations of match-fixing involving players from MDL partnered team, RSG El Ganador," started the statement.
"As an organization with an uncompromising stance against match-fixing, we have pro-actively cooperated with the authorities, including MDL Philippines and El Ganador Esports, to conduct a swift and comprehensive investigation into the matter."
"As a result, we have identified the following players as being guilty of the match-fixing allegations."
These players were none other than midlaner Raven "Aeris" Arellano and jungler Christian John "Nyija" Calantoc. Due to their involvement, their contracts are now terminated by the org. Screenshots which could hint their involvement, have even been disclosed on Coach Ducky's Facebook page.
RSG El Ganador just finished 8th in the overall standings of Season 3 of the MDL PH, securing only 9 points. Their standing means that the team is officially out of MDL playoff contention.
